FEU Lady Tamaraws sweep Adamson to move closer to Final Four

The Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws swept the Adamson University Lady Falcons, 25-19, 25-23, 25-23, to improve their record to 6-4 and solidify their hold on solo fourth place in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament.

This victory officially eliminated the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons from the Final Four race, while the Adamson Lady Falcons are now one loss away from elimination.

FEU's win propels them closer to reaching the Final Four, a goal they are eager to achieve after previous seasons of not making the semifinals.

Players like Chenie Tagaod, who scored 12 points and had seven excellent receptions, emphasized that the current Lady Tamaraws batch is different from previous ones.

Tagaod mentioned that under coaches Tina Salak and Manolo Refugia, the team has become excited to work hard, a significant shift from just wanting to spoil other teams' campaigns.

The Lady Tamaraws, who hold the most UAAP women's volleyball titles with 29, aim to end their two-season Final Four drought.

Rookie head coach Manolo Refugia acknowledged the pressure of his position but stated that making the Final Four is the team's motivation.
