FEU forces Game 3 in V-League Finals after preventing UST sweep

Far Eastern University (FEU) forced a deciding Game 3 in the V-League Women's Collegiate Challenge Finals by defeating University of Santo Tomas (UST) in a thrilling five-set match.

The Lady Tamaraws staged a remarkable comeback, saving three match points in the fifth set to secure a 17-15 victory and prevent UST from completing a perfect season.

UST initially thought they had won the championship after Cassie Carballo nailed a potential championship-clinching dump, leading to premature celebrations and confetti being thrown onto the court.

However, an FEU challenge successfully overturned the crucial point due to a net touch violation by the UST setter, reigniting the match.

After the call favored FEU, they huddled and told themselves this was their chance to bounce back, not letting the opportunity slip away.

FEU then saved two more match points and eventually sealed the win with Jaz Ellarina and Tin Ubaldo scoring three straight points, followed by Clarisse Loresco's match-clinching ace.

Jean Asis and Faida Bakanke led FEU with 20 and 18 points, respectively, while Ellarina delivered 16 points.
