Father kills one son, injures another before being shot dead by police in Cavite

Police shot dead a father who held his two children hostage in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, resulting in the death of one child and injuries to another.

The suspect was in the process of stabbing his 7-year-old son when police intervened.

Before the police arrived, the father had already killed his 5-year-old son and injured a neighbor and her daughter.

The victims were rushed to a hospital for treatment of their stab wounds.

Initial reports indicate the suspect was suffering from anxiety and had confined himself and his sons inside their home for two days prior to the incident.
