Ex-NAVER Cloud CEO joins Converge board

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. appointed Park Weongi, former CEO of NAVER Cloud, to its Board of Directors on July 8 to support its strategic shift towards becoming a digital infrastructure and technology services provider.

Park, a South Korean tech veteran with extensive experience in cloud computing, brings a wealth of knowledge in digital transformation to Converge.

During his tenure at NAVER Cloud, Park was instrumental in significantly expanding the company's service offerings and implementing a sustainable data center strategy.

He also led NAVER Cloud's expansion into 10 markets and established key partnerships throughout Southeast Asia.

Converge CEO Dennis Anthony Uy emphasized that Park's expertise aligns with the company's vision to enhance the Philippines' digital economy and transform its business beyond broadband services.

Park will also join the Board Risk Oversight Committee and the Remuneration Committee, serving the unexpired term of Francis Ed. Lim.

Converge's pivot to becoming a techco involves significant investment in digital platforms, data centers, cloud services, and AI-based solutions.
