Ex-Maguindanao board member survives ambush in Sultan Kudarat

Former Maguindanao del Sur board member Taharudin Nul Mlok survived an ambush attempt in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, on Monday, November 10.

He was about to leave a convenience store in his bulletproof Toyota Fortuner when four assailants on two motorcycles opened fire.

Mlok, who was unharmed, returned fire, and witnesses reported that one of the attackers may have been wounded.

The suspects fled on their motorcycles after the brief exchange of gunfire.

Authorities are investigating the incident and cooperating to identify the assailants.
