DPWH engineer arrested for estafa
Former Las Piñas-Muntinlupa district engineer Isabelo Baleros was arrested for multiple counts of estafa based on an arrest order from Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 22.
He was apprehended within the DPWH office in the Port Area, Manila, and his bail was set at P48,000.
Baleros was previously dismissed from his post following allegations of diverting P450 million intended for infrastructure projects in Las Piñas.

DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon had previously issued a show-cause order against Baleros and nine other engineers concerning allegations of lavish lifestyles and involvement in substandard projects.
