Ex-Comelec comm Guanzon files raps vs mallgoer, video uploader

Former Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon has filed complaints for unjust vexation and grave oral defamation against a mallgoer and is preparing legal action against the person who uploaded their viral confrontation video.

The incident occurred at Rockwell Power Plant Mall in Makati after the man allegedly mocked Guanzon for coughing and questioned her financial capacity to buy a mask, with Guanzon stating the man told her to leave the mall.

Guanzon clarified she was not sick and only coughed due to recently eating spicy noodles.

She posted her side of the story in a video on her social media page, stating she felt unwell and tired when filing the complaint.

A viral video showed Guanzon confronting the man, questioning his attire and demanding his name, noting he was not a local resident.

Guanzon stated the video violated her right to privacy and that the uploader committed a crime.
