ePLDT launches country's first sovereign AI solutions stack

ePLDT, through its subsidiary Pilipinas AI, has launched the country's first sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) solutions stack at the VITRO Sta. Rosa data center in Laguna.

Pilipinas AI aims to provide an AI system developed within the Philippines, ensuring alignment with local laws, cultural values, and interests, differentiating it from globally trained AI models.

The initiative, a collaboration with Dell Technologies and Katonic AI, seeks to encourage local and foreign companies to invest in AI programs and solutions within the Philippines.

Companies can utilize Pilipinas AI services without the need to manage or build their own AI infrastructure, benefiting from low latency, enhanced security, and compliance with data privacy laws due to data staying within the country.
