EPI partners with MECO to supply clean energy

Emerging Power Inc. (EPI), the renewable energy unit of Nickel Asia Corp., has partnered with Mabuhay Energy Corp. (MECO) to supply clean energy.

MECO, which has been operating since 2017, is described as one of the fastest-growing retail electricity suppliers and serves clients such as Megaworld, Sunlife Philippines, and Fisher Mall.

The clean energy will be sourced from EPI's 72.128-megawatt-peak Subic New PV Power Plant and the upcoming 70-MWp Cawag Solar Power Plant (Phase 1).

EPI president and chief executive officer Roy Joseph Fernandez expressed honor in the partnership, stating their aim to contribute to the Philippines' renewable energy goals and enhance energy security.
