Elvis Gutierrez's wife Alexa dies at 38 after leukemia battle

Alexa Joelle Uichico Gutierrez, wife of former child star Elvis Gutierrez, passed away at 38 after a seven-month battle with leukemia.

Her death was announced by her sister-in-law, actress Ruffa Gutierrez, on Instagram.

Alexa was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in January.

Her wake will be held at the Santuario De San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati City from July 29 to 31, with inurnment scheduled for August 1.

Elvis Gutierrez honored his wife in a heartwarming Instagram post recalling a memory of her at 19.

She is remembered by her family as a loving mother, wife, daughter, and friend, and was a former model and entrepreneur.

Alexa and Elvis were together for 18 years, marrying in June 2015 after a nine-year courtship, and are survived by their two daughters, Aria and Ezra.
