EEI Corp. lands P19.1B in new contracts, backlog hits P39.24B

EEI Corp. has secured P19.1 billion in new contracts for infrastructure and hotel projects as of the third quarter, significantly boosting its project backlog to P39.24 billion.

A P2.7-billion contract was awarded by MPCALA Holdings, Inc. for specific sections of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway Subsection 1 in Kawit, Cavite, which aims to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion.

In the hospitality sector, EEI will undertake the construction of the Arcovia Hotel in Pasig City for Megaworld Corp., including civil, structural, and architectural finishing works.

EEI Senior Vice President Anna Payawal-Figuera stated that these new project wins signify a considerable turnaround for the company, highlighting its resilience and competitiveness.

The company views these projects as a reaffirmation of its dedication to nation-building through economic growth, improved connectivity, and the development of facilities that benefit communities.
