Eddie Gutierrez stable after life-threatening infection in Singapore

Veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez is stable and recovering from a life-threatening infection discovered in Singapore after undergoing tests for a spinal procedure.

His daughter, Ruffa Gutierrez, described his recovery as a miracle, noting improvements such as easing back pain, regaining appetite, and being able to watch NBA Laker games.

Ruffa and her mother, Annabelle Rama, were with Eddie in Singapore when the infection was discovered.

Eddie is expected to fly home for the holidays before returning to Singapore in January and March 2026 for further treatment and procedures.

The neurosurgeon, Dr. Prem Pillay, is confident Eddie will live to at least 100 years old.

Ruffa emphasized the importance of prioritizing health and spending quality time with parents.
