Eastern Visayas Covid-19 cases rise to 757 with 32 new infections

Eastern Visayas now has 757 confirmed cases of Covid-19 after 32 new infections were recorded.

The new cases, numbered 726 to 757, include individuals from Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Samar provinces.

Of the new infections, 17 are from Leyte, with specific towns and cities mentioned.

Southern Leyte reported eight new cases, concentrated in Maasin City, Pintuyan, and St. Bernard.

Samar province added seven new cases from various towns and cities.

These new infections were confirmed from 203 swab results processed by a private laboratory and 187 from a state-run facility.

The cases include locally stranded individuals, returning overseas Filipino workers, a close contact of a confirmed patient, and a new local case.
