Duterte's SONA venue confirmed, physical attendance uncertain

President Rodrigo Duterte will deliver his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 27.

While the Batasang Pambansa complex in Quezon City is confirmed as the venue, it is not yet 100 percent certain if the President will physically attend.

Senate President Tito Sotto had previously confirmed the President's decision to deliver the SONA at the Batasan.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque stated that Duterte might broadcast his speech from Malago in Malacañang instead.

The SONA will have a limited capacity of 50 individuals inside the Batasan complex, comprising 25 from the Executive and 25 from the Legislative departments, along with some staff.

No other guests will be permitted entry as the SONA will be broadcast live.
