Duterte orders agencies to publish transactions in newspapers

President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered government agencies to publish their transactions in newspapers to promote transparency and combat corruption.

All government agencies, including PhilHealth, DPWH, Agriculture, and DND, are required to publish their procurements in at least three newspapers of general circulation.

The published information must include the details of bidders, such as their names and home addresses, to ensure accountability.

Duterte also mandated that Cabinet officials and other agency heads regularly report the disbursement of funds for their respective departments.

These reports must specify the amount spent and the purpose of the expenditure, allowing the public to track how government funds are utilized.

The disbursement reports are required either monthly or every 15 days, with the latter preferred by the President.
