DSWD to assist family of stranded woman who died in Pasay

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will provide food, livelihood, and educational assistance to the family of Michelle Silvertino, who died while stranded in Pasay City.

Silvertino's mother has already received financial assistance amounting to P15,400 to help care for her four grandchildren.

The DSWD will also offer livelihood opportunities through its Sustainable Livelihood Program to Michelle's siblings who are now caring for the children.

Educational assistance will be provided for the three grade-school-aged children, and ten days of food assistance will also be given.

Michelle Silvertino was a beneficiary of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and a recipient of the Social Amelioration Program.

The DSWD will process a change in grantee for the 4Ps benefits due to Michelle's passing.
