DSWD readies relief goods for TS Dodong victims in Luzon

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian has directed all regional directors in Luzon to coordinate with Local Government Units (LGUs) for the distribution of relief goods in response to Tropical Storm "Dodong".

Gatchalian instructed the directors to proactively reach out to governors and mayors to offer Family Food Packs (FFPs) to evacuation centers.

Central Luzon Regional Director Jonathan Dirain confirmed that Field Office-3 has already coordinated with the provincial government of Bulacan for the dispatch of FFPs.

The directive aims to ensure comprehensive care for those impacted by the recent weather disturbance, especially in Central and Northern Luzon.

Among the areas affected by "Dodong" were the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, the northern portion of Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, and the northern and central portions of Aurora.
