Fortun finds new evidence in Kian delos Santos case

Forensic pathologist Dr. Raquel Fortun revealed new findings on the case of Kian delos Santos, almost six years after the teenager was killed by cops.

She criticized the autopsies conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Public Attorneys Office (PAO) for lacking depth and not properly examining the remains.

Fortun stated that she recovered a bullet around the teen's neck area during her reexamination, which entered through the boy's back.

The reexamination was initiated by Project ARISE and Program Paghilom, led by Father Flavie Villanueva.

Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin "Boying" Remulla confirmed that he and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) are investigating the improper autopsy findings.

Remulla stated that families of victims will be asked to come forward to the NBI to give their testimonies.
