DPWH, DepDev, AFP, PNP inspect over 8,000 infra projects

More than 8,000 infrastructure projects nationwide have been physically inspected by personnel from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DepDev), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Philippine National Police (PNP).

Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon announced that the inspections covered projects from Metro Manila to Mindanao.

Dizon declined to disclose specific provinces or regions where the projects were concentrated.

The report on these inspections was submitted to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) today, October 9, 2025, as the commission investigates anomalous infrastructure projects from the past decade.

DPWH will formalize with the ICI the involvement of AFP and PNP personnel in investigating these projects.
