DPWH denies Batangas Rep. Leviste's budget insertion claims

Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has categorically denied allegations by Batangas Rep. Leandro Leviste of supposed budget insertions for flood control projects.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) called Leviste's claims "baseless and malicious."

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), which Dizon formerly headed, also clarified that it has no flood control projects funded through budget insertions or discretionary sources.

The DPWH questioned the timing of Leviste's allegations, citing recent reports that the congressman forcibly took documents and copied files from a former DPWH Undersecretary's computer.

This incident occurred after Leviste released an alleged summary file of the 2025 DPWH budget, supposedly provided by the former DPWH Undersecretary prior to her death.

Leviste has denied the allegations against him.
