Dizon asks PRC: Revoke licenses of 20 DPWH personnel in flood control mess
Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has asked the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to revoke the licenses of 20 Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) personnel implicated in alleged anomalies in flood control projects.
Dizon submitted evidence to PRC Chairperson Charito Zamora, including cases filed with the Office of the Ombudsman, Commission on Audit (COA) fraud audit reports, and DPWH's internal fraud audit.
Among those named as 'superstars' in the alleged corruption scandal are sacked Bulacan first district engineer Henry Alcantara, and former assistant district engineers Brice Ericson Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza.
PRC chief Zamora assured that the revocation process would be expedited due to the comprehensive evidence provided.
She also stated that due process would be followed, including giving the accused a chance to respond before a decision is made by the board.
