DOTr to close North Ave lane from Sept 24 to Nov 30 for MRT-7 tunnel excavation

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced a lane closure along North Avenue in Quezon City, going to Elliptical Road, from September 24 to November 30 for the excavation of a pedestrian tunnel for the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7).

This 24-hour temporary closure is specifically for excavation works for the Quezon Memorial Circle Station of the MRT-7.

The DOTr advises motorists and commuters to take alternative routes and asks for the public's cooperation and understanding for the temporary inconvenience.

The MRT-7 project is in coordination with SMC Mass Rail Transit 7 Inc.

The DOTr previously stated in June that the MRT-7's 12 stations are expected to be operational in 2027.
