DOTr offers free train rides Nov 10-11 amid transport holiday

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced free train rides on MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 from November 10 to 11.

Free bus services will also be deployed on various routes on November 10, with the possibility of extension to November 11 depending on passenger demand.

The Office of the President, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), and the office of Senator Erwin Tulfo are involved in deploying these free buses.

The PPA has waived terminal fees for roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessels transporting rescue equipment and relief goods.

Local airlines have also waived cargo fees for aid delivery, and toll fees for emergency response vehicles on expressways have been waived.

DOTr also reported that stranded passengers in ports, airports, and bus terminals continue to receive food and water.
