DOTr launches "One RFID, All Tollways" program for Luzon expressways

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has launched the "One RFID, All Tollways" program, allowing motorists to use a single RFID account for all expressways in Luzon.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the launch ceremony in Laguna, emphasizing the convenience for Filipinos by eliminating the need for separate RFID accounts for different tollway operators.

Under the new system, motorists can choose to use either an Autosweep or an Easytrip RFID sticker, which must be affixed to the vehicle's windshield.

After selecting a provider, drivers are required to visit a service center to have their other existing RFID sticker removed.

However, the DOTr clarified that the unified toll payment scheme is optional, not mandatory.

This initiative aims to simplify toll collection and reduce queuing time for drivers, making travel smoother across Luzon's expressways.
