DOT shortens quarantine to 3 days for fully vaccinated arrivals from yellow countries starting Nov 22

Starting November 22, the Department of Tourism (DOT) will shorten the hotel quarantine period to three days for fully vaccinated returning overseas Filipinos, OFWs, and balikbayans arriving from "yellow countries."

Fully vaccinated individuals from yellow countries who have a negative pre-departure RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours will undergo a three-day facility-based quarantine and self-monitor for up to 14 days after arrival.

Those without a pre-departure test will complete facility-based quarantine until their fifth-day RT-PCR test results are released, after which they will be cleared for home quarantine until the 10th day if negative.

Unvaccinated travelers must undergo facility-based quarantine until their seventh-day RT-PCR test, followed by home quarantine until the 14th day if their test result is negative.

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat stated that this change is expected to boost the tourism sector's recovery during the holiday season and allow more individuals to reunite with their families in the Philippines.
