DOLE prepares job fair for POGO-affected workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is preparing a job fair for workers affected by the closure of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

DOLE has completed the profiling of approximately 30,000 out of an estimated 40,000 affected Filipino workers.

Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma stated that the agency is finalizing the job fair and completing worker profiling.

The profiling process involves collecting personal information to determine the type of assistance needed, which can include employment facilitation, livelihood projects, or training.

DOLE plans to follow up with companies that have not yet submitted their employee lists to ensure accurate profiling and provide necessary assistance to displaced workers.
