Remains of 176 Bilibid’s PDLs to be autopsied
to determine cause of deaths – Sec. Remulla
Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla announced that the remains of 176 persons deprived of liberty at New Bilibid Prison will undergo autopsy to determine their causes of death.
Only 120 cadavers can be transferred to the Philippine General Hospital, which has the capacity to handle that number.

Autopsies will be conducted by Dr. Raquel B. Del Rosario-Fortun, with causes of death determined from prison records, death certificates, and autopsy results.
The results will inform authorities including the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police.
