Prosecutor named as new DOJ spox
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has appointed Atty. Polo Martinez as its new spokesperson.
Martinez joined the DOJ in 2025, initially working as a prosecution attorney before moving to the Office of the Secretary of Justice.
Before his stint at the DOJ, he was an associate at Platon Martinez Flores San Pedro Leaño Law Offices from 2022 to 2024.
He is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila School of Law and holds a bachelor's degree in AB Political Science from Ateneo de Manila University.
Martinez succeeds Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano, who is now the spokesperson for the Office of the Ombudsman.
Fredderick Vida currently serves as the Department's officer-in-charge.
