DOJ main offices reopen after COVID-19 lockdown

The Department of Justice (DOJ) main offices in Manila have lifted their lockdown effective Monday, June 29, after undergoing disinfection and sanitation.

The lockdown was initiated on June 18 following reports of COVID-19 cases within the department.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases at the DOJ is now six, comprising five employees and one guard.

DOJ Undersecretary Lean Sunga recommended the lifting of the lockdown, which was approved by Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.

On-site work is set to resume following the lockdown, though much of the department's work continued from home during the closure.

Approximately 750 DOJ officials and employees are based in the Manila offices.
