DOH to deploy 200 responders for Black Nazarene feast

The Department of Health (DOH) is set to deploy approximately 200 health emergency responders for the upcoming Feast of the Black Nazarene procession on January 9.

DOH spokesperson Assistant Secretary Albert Domingo stated that this number represents an estimated peak deployment and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Hospitals under the DOH in Metro Manila and adjacent regions will be placed on 'Code White Alert' to ensure readiness for potential emergencies.

This alert status requires hospitals to be prepared to handle common health issues arising from large gatherings, such as fainting or elevated blood pressure, as well as potential mass casualty incidents.
