DOH reports 10,748 new COVID-19 cases, 16,523 recoveries

An additional 16,523 patients have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recovered individuals to 2,459,052.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 10,748 new infections and 61 new fatalities, raising the total active cases to 106,160 and the death toll to 38,828.

The country's total confirmed COVID-19 cases have reached 2,604,040, with a 94.4 percent recovery rate.

Of the active cases, 82.7 percent are mild, 8.3 percent are asymptomatic, 2.7 percent are severe, 5.15 percent are moderate, and 1.2 percent are in critical condition.

The positivity rate stood at 20.2 percent, with 59,551 individuals tested.

Some cases were removed due to duplicates, and others were reclassified from recovered to deaths after validation.
