Toddler, 4 other persons under monitoring for nCoV in Zambo Sur
The Department of Health (DOH) announced that eight individuals in Region 9 are currently under monitoring for the novel coronavirus (2019 nCoV).
Of the eight Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs), five are from Zamboanga del Sur, including a 19-month old baby boy.
The PUMs have recent travel history to South Korea, Hong Kong, and China.
All PUMs are Filipinos currently undergoing a 14-day home quarantine and are regularly monitored by their local Rural Health Units.
The DOH clarified that Region 9 remains free of the novel coronavirus, with no confirmed cases or Persons Under Investigation (PUIs).
As of the report, the Philippines has three confirmed cases of the 2019-nCoV, including one fatality.
