Philippines detects 128 new Omicron subvariant cases

The subvariants detected include BA.2.3.20 (52 cases), XBB (28 cases), XBC (13 cases), BA.5 (10 cases), and BN.1 (one case), with 24 cases falling under other Omicron subvariants.
Most of the new cases were detected in locals (99 cases) with only one case from a returning overseas Filipino (ROF) under the BA.2.3.20 subvariant.
One additional case of the Delta variant was also identified in a local case from Region 3 with a collection date in mid-December 2022.
