DOH Sec Herbosa denies replacement rumors amid performance reviews

Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa denied rumors of his replacement, stating there is no truth to reports that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is looking for a successor.

He acknowledged that cabinet members serve at the pleasure of the President, and any replacement is the President's prerogative.

Complaints have been filed against Herbosa before the Office of the Ombudsman, including a graft case regarding the DOH's radio program and allegations concerning psychiatric drugs and vaccine cash advances.

The Commission on Audit has also flagged millions worth of unused medical equipment and nearly-expiring medicine at the DOH.
