Palace mourns death of 3 doctors due to coronavirus
Health Secretary Francisco Duque III declared the three doctors who died in the line of duty battling COVID-19 as heroes who sacrificed their lives for their patients.
Cardiologist Israel Bactol from the Philippine Heart Center, anesthesiologist Gregorio Macasaet III of Manila Doctors Hospital, and oncologist Rose Pulido of the San Juan de Dios Hospital succumbed to Covid-19 in the last two days.

As of Sunday, March 23, 2020, the DOH reported a total of 380 COVID-19 cases in the country, with 25 deaths and 17 recovered patients.
