Divers find 26 suspected human bones in Taal Lake

Divers recovered another 26 suspected human bones in Taal Lake, Batangas, on Tuesday, adding to the six bones found on Monday.

The bones, reportedly placed in a black net, were found in an area of the lake in Laurel town.

A joint team of divers from the Philippine Coast Guard and police units conducted the search.

The skeletal remains were turned over to the Calabarzon police forensic unit for examination.

The search for missing sabungeros, or cockfight enthusiasts, was initiated after allegations of abduction and murder.

According to a whistleblower, over 100 sabungeros were allegedly killed and their bodies dumped in the lake.
