Dionela proposes to girlfriend Meizy Mendoza onstage during concert

OPM singer-songwriter Dionela is engaged to his non-showbiz girlfriend, Meizy Mendoza.

The proposal happened on November 21 at the New Frontier Theater during the first night of Dionela's "The Grace Tour Manila" concert.

Dionela knelt onstage and asked Mendoza to marry him while singing "Bahaghari," a song he wrote for her.

He expressed gratitude for her support through his struggles, stating that she has been with him from the start.

Dionela recalled a moment when they were both crying after he sold his last guitar and wanted to quit music.

Mendoza has been a muse for many of Dionela's songs, and he previously credited her with reigniting his passion for music.
