DILG directs LGUs to ensure safe, accessible vaccination sites amid rains

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has directed local government units (LGUs) to ensure the safety and convenience of vaccination sites amidst heavy rains and flooding.

DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Año emphasized the need for LGUs to make vaccination sites safe and easily accessible, minimizing exposure to hazards like rain and floods.

LGUs are instructed to ensure vaccination sites are orderly and flood-free to prevent recipients from contracting other diseases.

Special accommodations should be provided for senior citizens, individuals with comorbidities, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) at vaccination centers.
