DigiPlus supports smarter online gaming regulations

DigiPlus Interactive Corp. supports stricter, "smart and balanced" regulations for the online gaming industry to protect players and maintain economic benefits.

The company advocates for updated legislation with stricter penalties for illegal operators and clearer advertising guidelines.

Chairman Eusebio Tanco stressed that regulation is vital for player safety, job preservation, and combating illicit online platforms.

DigiPlus stated that its platforms, including BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, already implement many proposed safeguards, such as rigorous know-your-customer verification, age restrictions, and responsible gaming features implemented since November 2024.

Tanco appealed for "fact-based dialogue" among lawmakers and policy-makers, expressing concern that legitimate operators are being unfairly lumped with illegal ones.

He emphasized that the company is open to evolving and improving and will act swiftly and responsibly to meet new standards or implement better player protection measures.

DigiPlus ensures its promotions do not target minors, flaunt wealth, or use aggressive tactics, and collaborates with NGOs to improve financial literacy and digital responsibility among players.
