DICT urges use of eGov Super App for scams, travel

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is urging Filipinos to utilize the eReport and eTravel features of the eGov Super App, especially during the Christmas season.

DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy highlighted that the eReport feature is essential for combating the expected rise in online scams during the holidays.

He also noted the importance of the eTravel system as many families travel during the Christmas break.

DICT Undersecretary David Almirol elaborated that the eReport system allows users to conveniently report various concerns with a single click.

Almirol explained that the system directs different types of reports to the appropriate agencies, such as alerting the police for crime incidents or the Bureau of Fire Protection for fire incidents.

Complaints about red tape are forwarded to the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), while cases involving women and child abuse are directed to the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and the Council for the Welfare of Children.
