14 new COVID-19 cases recorded among Pinoys abroad
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported that 14 more Filipinos abroad contracted COVID-19, bringing the total cases to 9,973.
One new recovery was recorded, increasing the total to 5,869, while the death toll remained at 733.
Currently, there are 3,371 Filipinos undergoing treatment for the virus worldwide.
This includes 361 cases in the Asia Pacific, 501 in Europe, and 2,350 in the Middle East or Africa.
An additional 159 cases are reported in the Americas.
The DFA has repatriated over 141,531 overseas Filipinos, including 87,569 land-based workers and 53,962 seafarers.
The agency anticipates more repatriates from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the United States, Japan, and Papua New Guinea.
