PH to work with Trump on stronger alliance

The Philippine government, through the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Enrique Manalo, acknowledged the recent US elections as a demonstration of the robustness of American democratic values and institutions.

Secretary Manalo congratulated the US government on the successful presidential elections, which saw former president Donald Trump returning to the White House.

The Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to continue working with the US to advance bilateral relations, with Manalo expressing eagerness to elevate the alliance under President-elect Trump's administration.

President Marcos also extended congratulations to Trump and the American people, highlighting the elections as proof of the strength of American values and expressing hope for continued collaboration on mutually beneficial issues.

DFA Secretary Manalo had previously expressed hope that US support for the Philippines would remain consistent regardless of the election outcome.
