DFA: COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad reach 1,905

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad has reached 1,905, with 38 new cases reported.

The DFA noted that the updated figures showed that the total number of Filipinos abroad who have recovered from the disease remains higher than the total number of deaths.

Of the total deaths, 73 were recorded from Europe, 19 in the Middle East/Africa, and 121 in the Americas, with two from the Asia Pacific region.

The Philippine embassy in the UAE reported 17 deaths in Dubai and four in Abu Dhabi, which have yet to be officially confirmed by the DFA.
