DFA arranges repatriation for 60 OFWs from Afghanistan

Approximately 60 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are accounted for as of August 21, with most having left Afghanistan.

Thirty of these individuals were flown to Islamabad, Pakistan, by Pakistan Airways on tickets purchased by the Philippine Embassy in Pakistan.

The president of the Filipino community group Samahang Pilipino sa Afghanistan (SPA), Glenn Gumpal, arrived in Birmingham with five OFWs.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is arranging repatriation for the OFWs who are now safe in different countries.
