DepEd starts distributing P20k SRI, P5k PEI to 1 million personnel

The Department of Education (DepEd) has begun distributing year-end incentives to approximately one million of its personnel nationwide.

These incentives include the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive, and gratuity pay for contract-based workers.

Teachers and non-teaching personnel will each receive a P20,000 SRI and a P5,000 PEI.

Additionally, non-teaching staff are eligible for an extra P10,000 CNA incentive.

Contract of service and job order workers will receive gratuity pay amounting to up to P7,000, determined by their length of service.

The release of these incentives aligns with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s directive.

The SRI will be disbursed in installments, with an initial payment of P10,000 to P14,500 expected this December, and the remaining balance to be paid upon budget allocation approval.

All DepEd personnel, regardless of appointment type (regular, contractual, or co-terminus) and location (central, regional, division, and school offices), are qualified to receive the SRI.
