Deloitte Philippines confirms COVID-19 case in BGC

Deloitte Philippines confirmed that one of its employees in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig has tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee, who was admitted to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) on March 5, is in stable condition.

The Six/NEO building, where Deloitte is based, was locked down on Saturday evening.

Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano confirmed the case, and the Taguig City Government is monitoring the employee's status and coordinating with Deloitte Philippines.

In response to the confirmed case, Mayor Cayetano announced that the local government would deploy more ambulances, establish service hotlines, and ban mass gatherings in the city.

Residents and employees in BGC are now more cautious, with some avoiding crowded places.

Deloitte Philippines is providing support to the employee and their family, and has informed individuals who had close contact for medical checks.

The company emphasizes that the health and safety of its people, clients, and community is its top priority.
