Dela Rosa: Jolo bombings prove terrorism reality

Senator Ronald dela Rosa emphasized that the recent deadly bombings in Jolo, Sulu, which resulted in at least 14 deaths and 75 injuries, serve as undeniable proof of the reality of terrorism.

He stated that terrorists do not discriminate in their choice of time and place to perpetrate their violent acts.

Dela Rosa linked the terror attack to the ongoing criticism surrounding the passage of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020.

He highlighted that the law, signed on July 3, aims to prevent, prohibit, and penalize terrorism in the Philippines.

Despite the law's intentions, concerns have been raised by various groups regarding potential abuses in its implementation.

Dela Rosa challenged the critics to acknowledge the clear and present danger posed by terrorism in the country, especially after the Jolo bombings.
