Actor David Licauco mourns the death of his grandfather Jaime Licauco, a parapsychologist, author, and scholar, who passed away at 84.

David shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, expressing his grief and honoring his grandfather's memory.

Jaime Licauco, born in 1940, was regarded as the country's foremost authority on inner mind development, paranormal phenomena, and Philippine mysticism.

He authored 17 bestselling books and numerous articles over the last 25 years, and was a columnist for the Daily Tribute.

Jaime lectured to various medical organizations, including the American Academy of Family Medicine, the Philippine Society of Family Medicine, the Philippine Neurological Society, Philippine Nurses Association, and the Philippine College for the Advancement of Medicine.

David Licauco gained fame for his roles in historical fantasy dramas such as 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' and 'Pulang Araw.'

He is currently the on-screen partner of actress Barbie Forteza and recently portrayed Deacon Sam in 'Samahan ng mga Makasalanan.'
