Davao region has 6 COVID-19 cases

Five COVID-19 patients in the Davao Region are currently in stable condition and showing no symptoms.

The Department of Health (DOH)-Davao regional director stated that the patients are being monitored while hospitalized.

With three new cases confirmed on Monday, the region now has a total of six COVID-19 cases.

The first identified COVID-19 patient in the region, PH130, has been discharged.

One new patient, a 50-year-old male with travel history to Manila, Palawan, and Cebu, is admitted to the Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC).

Two other new patients, both males aged 28 and 32 with travel history to Manila, are confined at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).

The region's second and third cases, PH262 and PH263, were transferred to an isolation facility at SPMC.

Contact tracing is underway for individuals who were in close contact with the six confirmed COVID-19 cases.

As of March 25, DOH-Davao reported 71 Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) in hospitals and 6,771 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs).
