Davao del Norte under GCQ due to rise in COVID-19 cases

Davao del Norte has been placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from June 10 to June 30, 2021, due to a significant increase in COVID-19 cases.

As of Thursday, June 10, 2021, the province recorded 94 new confirmed cases, 55 new recoveries, and one death.

Governor Edwin Jubahib's Executive Order (EO) No. 26, Series of 2021, restricts non-essential travel and gatherings outside the province.

All forms of gatherings are prohibited unless permitted by the City/Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) through the Barangay Captain, and are limited to 30 percent capacity with strict adherence to health and ventilation standards.

Gatherings in residences involving individuals outside the immediate household, as well as events like weddings and baptisms not previously scheduled, are also forbidden.

Religious gatherings are permitted up to 30 percent venue capacity, contingent on no objection from the Local Government Unit.

The province will enforce a curfew from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. during the GCQ period.

Wearing of face shield and face mask will be required in all public places.

The movement of cargo/delivery vehicles, as well as vehicles used by public utility companies, shall be unhampered.
